Fill Dirt for Texas Foundations
This house in Fort Worth had several inches of the foundation exposed below the botton of the brick line. No home should have more than 3 inches of foundation exposed. Clay Select fill dirt was spread on a slope to provide lateral support to the foundation.
Clay select fill is the best product for this project because it will allow water to drain away from the foundation.
Clay select fill is typically 60% clay and 40% sand. The higher clay content often makes it a little harder to spread, but the sand and moisture allows it to maintain its resistance to settling over time. Select Fill is most often used for new home foundations and building pads to pour concrete over. It can also be used in a variety of other ways, including: reshaping topography, retaining walls, berms, flood control, filling abandoned swimming pools, holes, and grading.
